We're a Swedish couple who wanted a different kind of life. So we sold everything we owned and saved money for 1,5 years while living aboard our 40-foot custom built aluminium sailboat. Then we untied the lines in the middle of the Swedish winter in January 2016.
Our sailing adventures have taken us halfway around the world, we have welcomed our daughter Vera and bought a new boat. In 2022 we started working on another dream, building our dream boat! It's a 50ft sailboat built out of timber & epoxy/fiberglass and we do everything ourselves.

Nice stairs 👍 quite narrow though, maybe 1.5 m - 2 m wide would be better 🤔 if you are dealing with bigger or heavier parts you need maneuvering space 😁

Imagine empires would carry armies thousands of years ago in a much more primitive boats. And without even proper navigation tools. So today everything is possible. Thank you for proving that and being a great inspiration for us.
I have watched them all. You invest so much time and money into this project. I'm asking myself, if I would not rather have settled with an older boat, which would definitely not have been the ocean-going yacht of my dreams, but it would have been more affordable and available on the spot. Your newbuilding ages while still under construction - and so do you. Will you still be committed to ocean travel once the building is complete? I enjoy to see your progress and I appreciate your dedication. I have learnt a lot and I can't wait to follow you on your next ocean adventures. Thank you für many well-wasted hours on UA-cam. Imagine doing this hull design in Titanium. Does Titanium rust in fresh water? Does it rust in saltwater? No one knows for sure. I guess. Too expensive. Crazy idea.
why not reconstruct one of the cradels you used to filp the boat on the stern opening . it should work and dispell any fears of the stern loosing its contour it may take a little time but the resul and confort feeling it will give you will be worthit
